I hadn't heard of Twitter or Spotify 6 months ago, now I'm thoroughly addicted to both. Spotify does cause concerns for how (or at least how much) artists will benfit, I really hope that maybe the Iceland based gogyoko may hold the ultimate solution for this - I wish them loads of luck, and good wishes. It looks fantastic. Spotify doesn't yet have that much coverage of Icelandic music, beyond the most obvious, but they are adding music at an incredible rate. Amusingly (to me anyhow) they have fallen into that trap, as I once did, of thinking Olof and Olafur Arnalds are one and the same. Both great, but definitely not the same.
Twitter has much more of an Icelandic music presence. I could list them all here, but it's much more easy to point you here, where all the bands are listed with their twitter links. But wait a minute, there are a few others - try these too...
