Awesome thing 1: I'm nearly over my violent jealousy of both Reykjavik! and Mammut playing two gigs in Germany, and none (NONE!) in London. And it is helped by the brilliant podcasts they made which can be downloaded from here. Or, if I have the technology figured out you can see them below. What a fine looking bunch of young Icelanders... the flattery will get them to London I'm sure.
Awesome thing 2: Something that is happening in the UK is this Sunday when there is an "Iceland to Brighton" event, which is Brighton, not Iceland. The newly major label band Blindfold will be playing, there will be roast meat to eat, and prizes to be won - all good! The details are here, and a promo poster is there --->
Awesome thing 3: The Aldrei For Eg Sudur took place over Easter in Isafjordur. Sounds like Mugi did another fantastic job (I'll get there one year, really I will). A good time was had by all, other than the internal flights to get out to the Westfjords which were, let's say, entertaining. You can ready all about it in The Economist (yes, odd isn't it) here, written by that splendid Paul Sullivan chap - buy his book here!
